  1. Place yourself directly in front of the nearest fan.
  2. Use a few pieces of ice wrapped in a cloth or paper towel and place the bundle against your wrist for twenty seconds or so, periodically.
  3. Wet the sleeves of your T-shirt.
  4. Move to the basement of your house if you have one.
  5. Avoid going outside or into places where the sun will be beating directly on you.
  6. Drink lots of water throughout the day regardless of whether or not you’re thirsty.
  7. Stay away from using appliances that generate a lot of heat, such as the stove and oven.
  8. Repeat any of the above steps throughout the day, alternating if you wish.
