Polar bear Flocke takes her first bath

 

Nuremberg, 2008-03-05 Her first meeting with the element water has well gotten over the Nuremberg little polar bear. Veterinarian Dr. Bernhard Neurohr and orderly Horst Maussner have submitted Flocke to the first "shower-bath": they put the animal in a big plastic bucket and scooped with the hands from a small little bucket tepid water over his body. „This has enjoyed her“, reports Dr. Neurohr and ascertains: „Afterwards} she smelled much better, really freshly.“ The veterinarian also with the behavior of the polar bear is very contented. „She notices immediately if no fight play is announced, but it is about a quiet thing. With the washing she has switched over immediately and behaved quite well.“
Also Flockes excitement before the Napf with milk lies down from day to day, so that the slow weaning of the phial progresses. Flockes weight amounts, in the meantime, to 10.85 kilograms. She is still fed on an art milk rich in calorie from which she drinks about 1.5 liters per day.
