  4. set time limits and times when you’ll read blogs
  5. Limit feeds on a particular topic.
  6. Periodically test your feeds. 
  7. Organise your categories  by importance and/or reading frequency.
  8. Add a ‘quarantine’ category for new blogs. After a week decide whether you really want to keep
  9. Add an ‘ignore’ category for blogs that you no longer read
  10. Consider subscribing to only a subset of a person’s blog.

Step 1: Activate Aardvark by right-clicking on a page (or use the bookmarklet in IE or Safari).

 

Step 2: Highlight the desired text (e.g. the article, blog post, etc.) using the “wider” and “narrower” functions.

Step 3: Use the “isolate” function to focus the text.

Step 4: Use the “remove” function to erase any leftover undesirables (e.g. ads, blog comments, etc.).
