To become a saint in today's day and age is really a miracle. It is not impossible, just highly unlikely that one can actually attain sainthood in our times. But to the person who really strives for it sainthood is possible, maybe.

How does the Catholic Church decide who becomes a saint?
The first step to becoming a Saint is to be declared venerable.
Beatification is a process that takes place when the cardinals of the church decide that the candidate has performed a true divine miracle.
The next step to becoming a Saint is called canonization.

- Perform yet another miracle but this time you have to do it after you die.
- Become a martyr.
- Advise the church that these events have happened so they can examine them.
